Do you have any instructions for users when the HMRC EMCS service is unavailable?

Hi,

Fallback is used when the EMCS service is down. The best way to find out the current status of the EMCS service is to phone the EMCS Helpline on 0845 600 5022.

Once approved by the EMCS helpline, you can enable fallback for a specific movement by selecting it then clicking the edit button. You should see fallback written in black. If you click the downward arrows beside it, more information on fallback will appear. This information will help you complete the fallback procedure and tell you what to do when the EMCS service becomes available again.
